What we do:

Develop and apply bioinformatics

We develop bioinformatics analysis tools for the Helmholtz Zentrum  and LMU mass spectrometry instruments, i.e. LC-MS/MS, ICR-FT, OrbiTrap, and MS/MS with Biocrates AbsoluteIDQTM.

Our objectives are to improve our understanding of the biology of complex diseases, such as type 2 diabetes, metabolic syndrome and coronary heart disease. We take a systems level approach where we combine genetic, metabolic and phenotypic information from human  patients and  model animal studies.
